Filmmaker

Who would have thought that an IITian who was so passionate about Physics, Chemistry & Maths, would become a professional Filmmaker as a Writer, Director & Producer?

Writing has been one of Ashish’s biggest strengths since childhood. He never knew it would turn out to be a profession where he would be paid for writing. Ashish started screenwriting in 2008 after being inspired by Syd Field’s book “Screenplay”. He also did non-fiction content writing for several corporate clients that were eventually made into short or long films.

In his 2008 book “Outliers,” Malcolm Gladwell wrote that “ten thousand hours is the magic number of greatness.” Gladwell refers to the “10,000 hour rule” in his book, arguing that the key to true expertise in any skill is to practise at least 10,000 hours, albeit the right way.

As far as writing is concerned, Ashish has crossed the 11,000 hours mark in professional writing. He has written fiction and non-fiction in two languages – English and Hindi.

Over the last one and a half decades, Ashish has directed hundreds of films in different genres and categories, such as feature films, web series, short films, ad films, music videos, corporate films etc. Among the long form films, in 2023, he is all set to direct a Bollywood feature film and a web series.
